Bam Margera was born on September 28, 1979. His mother’s name is April, and his father is Phil Margera. Margera has one elder brother, and his name is Jess Margera. He is a nephew of Vincent Don Vito Margera.   

Margera’s nickname was “Bam Bam” which his grandfather gave him. After noticing his habit of intentionally running into walls over time, his friends cut that nickname down to “Bam”. Margera gave up on a high school after his first year but was homeschooled by his mother & received his GED.

In West Chester, Pennsylvania, Margera attended West Chester East High School. He didn’t graduate, though. After Chris Raab, a friend and classmate, was expelled, he quit school after his junior year.

Along with his buddies Ryan Dunn, Chris Raab, Brandon Novak, Rake Yohn, and Brandon DiCamillo, Bam Margera began his professional career by shooting movies of himself skateboarding and pulling tricks.

Bam Margera began recording skating and stunt videos of himself and his buddies, which later evolved into the CKY video series. A complete form of “Camp Kill Yourself” is CKY. The band’s name, CKY, is an acronym for “Camp Kill Yourself,” the same name as his brother Jess Margera’s band.

Margera has written, produced, and started in three independent movies. In 2013, he co-wrote, directed, and started Haggard. The events in this movie are based on real ones that happened to his partner Ryan Dunn. Margera played “Valo,” a personality based on himself & elements of HIM vocalist plus mate Ville Valo, while Dunn played himself as the main role.

Minghags, initially titled Kiss a Good Man’s Ass, was also directed by Margera.

The shooting started on April 5, 2007. Margera revealed that they were attempting to make the movie PG-13-rated on an episode of Radio Bam.
